What is the theme of the story?
To much government control for the government will become bad.

What do you think Harrison’s rebellion reveals about his character and values? Support your opinion with references to the text.
he wasn’t afraid and he wanted to create change but didn’t want to lose his life.

What conclusions can you draw about the society in which the characters live?
The government has all the control the characters have no freedom at all.

He didn’t want the government to have all the control. When they toke away people gifts that god gave them.

the movie willow ( 1988), introduces the echnique of morphing and trasnforming a goat into a woman.

9.post tramatis stress disorder- PTSD is an anxiety disorder that occurs in the aftermath of a troumatis event. examples are combat, rape, and natural disorder. PTSD is diagnosed six months after the troumatis event. Three mayjor symptoms are: heightened, startle response, easily scared and irritatibility.

-A PTSD is a very bad thing to have in life you can't deal with it, cause it hurts.

-The powerpuff girls was made from potpourri.

11.paparazzi- a freelance photographer who aggressively pursues celebrities for the purpose of taking candid photographs.

-When i walk out the door i see paparazzi following me everywhere i go and they kept taking pictures.

Discuss the Thanksgiving dinner for Melinda’s family and why this is significant. Its significant because it keeps the famlily together.

Analyze Melinda’s statement about her parents, “I bet they’d be divorced by now if I hadn’t been born.” What does this reflect about her self esteem? Its very low and she needs to go get some help.

Examine Melinda’s references to her secret and what this reveals about her relationship with her parents. What do you think happened at the party? Something very scary and life changing happened.

Discuss Melinda’s athletic ability, her attitude toward being on the basketball team, and the comparison she makes between basketball and life. She doesnt like sports even though she has a shot.

  1. Analyze Melinda’s reaction to the first day of high school and why her fears seem more intense than that of others. Analyze why she says, “I am Outcast.” She says that because after what happened at the party no one wants her to be her friend anymore so shes by herself.

  1. Examine the meanings of the “clans” and the prevalence of high school cliques. Why do we sometimes not like people who are really good at things, like sports, music, art, or school? Is this fair? Are adults like this? We dont like people who are really good at things because we can get jealous. And also it really doesnt matter if its fair or not. And no most adults arent like this.

  1. Discuss the “first ten lies they tell you in high school.” Compare with your first day. So you think Melinda’s assumption that they are “lies” is valid? Well i dont think they are lies because most people tell the truth.

  1. Examine Melinda’s characterization of the teachers. What do these descriptions reflect? They reflect how she feels and her personality.

  1. Discuss Mr. Freeman’s approach to teaching art. Have you had similar experiences in classes with this type of teaching style? No i have not because most of my schools stopped teaching art because of the shortage of teachers.

  1. Discuss Melinda’s home life. How does communication break down in Melinda’s family? What could each person do to improve it? If you were a parent, how would communication be in your family? If i was a parent communication in my household would be good because i would make sure i would allways know what me and my child is doing.

  1. Discuss the interaction between Melinda and Heather. Are they friends? What brings them together? well they were friends until heather came and told her that they couldnt be friends anymore because of her personality.

  1. Are we sometimes different people on the outside than we are in the inside? How? Why is this true, do you think? Yes i think its true because on the outside someone can be nice but on the inside how mean they can really be.

1.Discuss the significance of the following quote: “There is something unselfish and self-sacrificing love of a brute, which goes directly to the heart of him who has had frequent occasion to test the paltry friendship and gossamer fidelity of man.”

This quote to me means there is a person who is sacrificcing people that love him, beacuse they don't know what ral love is, and it goes and touches that person heart to test the heart of a real man.

2.What is the significance of the cat’s name, Pluto?

The cat's anme is pluto becasue he is a black cat

3.Why did the narrator initially restrain himself from maltreating the cat while maltreating other animals?

The cat was with the charcter longer and really did love him. The charcter didn't believe that anyone loved him, and when he acutalluy knew someone did, he maltreated them. the other animals really didn't care form him that much.

4.Why does he eventually mistreat the cat?

He mistreated the cat becasue he was intemperance and the cat was always around when he was that way.

5.Describe the narrator’s feelings after abusing the cat. Why is that significant?

When the charcter beat the first cat it was just a moment of remorse. the charcter really didn't care and it didn't mean alot to him.

6.How does the narrator define “perverseness”? Do you agree with his definition? Do you agree that it is human nature?

This quote is saying he had no feelings for oeple or things that loved him and he felt he had nothing else to do with his life.

Three Little Pigs

The Three Little Pigs

Exposition
In the beginning there are three pigs and a wolf. The three pigs are all building houses from different materials. The wolf is going to be the bad guy in this story.




Rising Action
Three pigs are industrious and are all building their houses out of different materials. One builds his house out of straw, another out of wood, and the last pig builds his house out of brick.
The wolf interrupted their plan and threatened to “huff and puff and blow their houses down.”
Climax
During the climax the wolf attempts to blow each house down and succeeds until he gets to the brick house and then he gets stuck! The pigs get the upper hand and the story changes direction.




Falling Action
The dumbfounded wolf climbs down a chimney and into a boiling pot of water!

Resolution
The pigs learned a valuable lesson about building your house on a solid foundation.

Dogs are very docile.
